10 Tips for Being More Creative| Sunshine Lady Photography
Part 1:
Creativity is always there, but sometimes it takes a little exercise to get it going. Life is so busy for so many of us, so the idea of implementing a new practice into one’s life can seem unrealistic. Here are a few ways you can encourage more creativity in your life that have and currently DO work for me. These exercises help to rewire your brain and allow space for new ideas (think of refragmenting your computer).
turn off your phone
meditate
use your other hand, such as when brushing your teeth, to do a task
rearrange a familiar space, like your kitchen cabinets, so you have to focus on what you’re doing
go for walks in nature
create an Instagram feed of only things that inspire you (for when you DO pick up your phone)
write in a journal
subscribe to publications that visually or mentally stimulate you
move your body to move your energy and make space for new thoughts
collaborate with other people who you find inspiring (you could even ask them to teach you how to do something they do that you think is super cool)
