The Creative Life | Sunshine Lady Photography

All my life, I’ve prided myself on my creativity. Anytime I am asked to describe myself in 5 words, I always include “creative” in my answer. During my master's degree in instructional design, I researched and built a course on implementing creativity in the classroom. Creativity is such an important part of life! But as a very busy mom, whose career is based on being creative, sometimes I feel the creative life eludes me in an everyday context.

To be creative, one must get lost in something, and that doesn’t include the monotony of carpooling. It’s hard when you feel pulled in a million different directions and can barely carve out time to shower. Yet, I have found that when I’m feeling the most frazzled and outside of myself, investing in SOMETHING that ignites my creativity always brings me back to myself.

In the next few posts, I will share some tips for bringing creativity (back?) into your life and examples of how I apply and/or practice these in my own life. I’d also love to learn some ways that YOU implement it in your own life. Many minds is greater than one!
