Dreams really do come true. Meet Teddi B. Williams!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Backstory: After moving to Colorado last year and buying our house, we realized we NEEDED a dog in our lives again. My in-laws had been keeping our dogs in Pennsylvania while we rented in California and our sweet old golden Rowie died while there, leaving our other dog, Levi alone. Levi, definitely a bit of a nervous guy, is still a good boy- doesn't bark, is calm, poops in the bushes instead of the middle of the yard, doesn't run away, and is good with the kiddos, so we knew we wanted to get a puppy while he's still alive to learn his good behaviors from him. And maybe even become a companion for him. We love Levi (and our sweet Rowie), but we are also VERY allergic to them. My oldest, Marin, has to take daily allergy medicine since reacquiring Levi, so we knew that any future dog we get would need to be a poodle cross. ⠀⠀⠀

After meeting multiple amazing goldendoodles in our town, we knew that a doodle was the right dog for our family. For 9 months, we've kept the secret from the girls until one morning we took a little adventure down to Colorado Springs to meet their surprise. I did my best to capture it, but, hey, I’m no videographer! Well, not yet at least. Watch them guess where we are going in the video below.

Of course, as soon as we got there, I got so distracted by how excited the kiddos were that I stopped filming. Doh! I did capture the puppies meeting us for the first time and how Teddi came to choose us as her family.

Aren’t they cute?

Teddi is almost FOUR months now and has settled nicely into our home. She is a maniac who decimates my plants and my daughter’ toys, but she already sits before getting fed and silently wrestles with Levi in the backyard (unlike all the neighbors’ dogs who sound like they’re killing each other), so I’d say we’re making progress. Check out some more pics from Teddi’s first day at home.
