A Late Winter Colorado Snow Storm
It’s March, but that means little in Northern Colorado! In typical Colorado fashion, just when we thought spring was here, snowmageddon made it’s way through our state. Like any parent, I had to whip out my camera and get some shots of the kiddos (and our Goldendoodle, Teddi) loving life in the snow. My husband is the first one outside in this kind of weather and he set out to create the girls’ own sledding hill in our flat backyard. As he built his mountain, the girls tended to their own project- building a miniature snowman. Although the puppy couldn’t help but try to steal the arms and nose, the girls were able to finish their task at hand, and I have to say, it looked super cute (until our other dog turned it from a white snowman into a yellow one). I also stepped outside to check things out and was surprised by the mild temperature, despite the blizzard conditions (see unflattering barefoot photo below). While I admit this snow is gorgeous, I can’t help be get excited about getting some plants back into my beds this spring and finishing up the never-ending backyard studio build!
Photographing my kids is what got me into professional photography in the first place. Want to learn how to better photograph your own kids?
