Morning Family Walks at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area

Despite the fact it’s technically winter now, I still wanted to share some beautiful Northern Colorado colors from a walk I took with my family in November. Following a sunrise photo session at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area, I packed up my kids, husband, and Goldendoodle pup to enjoy some spectacular fall colors in Fort Collins. And like any other mom, I wanted to document our little adventure (if you want to learn how to photograph your kids better, check out my mini guide here.)

The cottonwood trees turn the most magnificent shade of yellow that simply makes the landscape glow. The flat trail is really nice for little kids to walk around and the colder weather eliminated any fear of snakes (my biggest fear when shooting in Fort Collins). Where is your favorite place to walk with your kiddos?

Looking for some inspiration to get creative yourself? Here are a few things that are keeping my creative juices flowing.

What I’m reading: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson

What’s I’m listening to: the classic album Billy Breathes by Phish
