Morgan’s milk bath maternity shoot

As a maternity photographer, I jump at the chance to do something fun and creative. When Morgan contacted me about doing a milk bath maternity session, she didn’t need to twist my arm. Morgan decided to opt fo the first year package, as well as an extra maternity session (Rocky Mountain outdoor session to come!) so that we can capture every bit of the motherhood adventure. (If you want to learn more about first year packages, click here!)

To prepare for our shoot, I clipped some lilac from my yard, grabbed this heavenly rosewater jasmine bath tea from World Market, headed to Trader Joe’s to buy two gallons of milk and some bouquets of flowers, and I was on my way! When I arrived at Morgan’s, I was greeted by three corgis, one Chihuahua, and a beautiful Maine Coon kitty named Bob. Morgan is one of the coolest clients I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with- she’s currently earning her Ph.D. in Victorian Literature and take lessons on pole dancing for female empowerment.

We took our time filling the tub and chatting, listened to some Paul Simon, and finally got to work! As a literature buff, Morgan asked to include some shots with her favorite Jane Austen novel, and as a former English teacher, I was more than happy to comply. I’m pretty obsessed with how the images turned out, and Morgan’s pole dancing skills clearly came through! Check out some of my favs from our milk bath maternity shoot.

I feel so lucky to find clients like Morgan. If you think you’d like to try a milk bath shoot (not ever necessarily a maternity shoot- I’d love to do a motherhood session with little babes), let’s chat!
