Rocky Mountain National Park Maternity Session
Remember when I shared our recent family trip to Rocky Mountain National Park? The impetus for this trip was to scout locations for an upcoming maternity shoot. Man, did we find some great spots. When I first heard from Adriana, a fellow photographer and real estate whiz, about her very clear vision for her shoot, we knew Rocky Mountain was the place.
Adriana and Stephen, a photography duo, met me at Bear Lake while we waited for the sun to set enough for our golden hour shots. We walked around the lake and they shared their story with me. Adriana, originally from Virginia, and Stephen, originally from San Francisco (one of those rare SF natives), met and fell in love on the east coast. A wedding brought them out to Colorado and they decided to make the move west.
Like for many, getting pregnant had not proven an easy task for Adriana. Let down after let down, she finally was ready to throw in the towel. But something was off and she felt it. She took a test, and to her utter shock and surprise, she was pregnant!
After we got some incredibly beautiful shots by the lake, all while talking pregnancy, home births, and our favorite photography gear (could I have found better clients???), we made our way back to the parking lot and drove on over to Moraine Park. As I was fiddling with my GPS to ensure we make it to the exact location I intended, a female elk took a step out onto the road in front of me. Nevermind the GPS! I could wing it. And I did.
After sharing these images with Adriana, she immediately opted to purchase the entire gallery with this 👆 message. There’s nothing that makes me happier than when clients love their images and are happy with how I served them. Here is an excerpt from her Google review:

Pregnancy is painful at times, exhausting, and can take a lot of time, energy, and money to exist, but it is also a joyful time, and it’s my goal to capture your joy during your pregnancy. I’m so happy that I had the privilege of working with Adriana and Stephen and look forward to meeting their little man.
